Choosing a private school is one of the toughest assignments a parent has to face, So much is at stake. Your child's happiness and future success rides on your finding the 'right' school.

Can you do it yourself? Of course you can. But then you can also write a will yourself and diagnosis your own illnesses for that matter. Now you won't do as good a job as a professional, but you can do it.

Nancy and I tried our hand at choosing a school for our eldest daughter. It was a roulette game. We thought we knew what we were doing, but when Heather was accepted at only one of the three schools she applied to, we realized how very lucky we were that she got in at all. When it came time to send youngest daughter off to school, we hired the late Hugh Silk to assist us. He knew what he was doing and thanks to his experience and wisdom, Rebecca was accepted at all three of the schools she applied to.
